There were over a 120 entries for Minal’s garden show on Saturday 30 August. As well as vegetables and fruit the classes for crafts, photography, home baking cordials and liquers using vegetables or fruit were all entered. The flower section was a riot of colour and perhaps reflecting the weather the rose section had 10 entries alone. Best in show were Oliver Thomas’s cheese scones served with home made raspberry jam which the judges pronounced delicious. The winner with the most categories was Jaki Thompson who was awarded a wooden trophy. Thanks to everyone who entered produce and we look forward to next year. Here are a few photos of the show.
